Heidi Klum never knows if her elaborate Halloween costume is going to work until its big reveal.

The model has been dubbed the Queen of Halloween thanks to her extravagant parties and jaw-dropping costumes, and in previous years, has stepped out as Jessica Rabbit, a Hindu goddess, a worm, an alien, and a peacock.

In a new interview for People, Heidi explained that she always gets "anxious" before stepping out in her costume because she doesn't have the opportunity to try it out before the big reveal.

"Because there is no real trial, like, I can't do a real fitting before I am in it. Because I never know if it works until the day (of). And then you know, and then something happens and I'm like, 'Oh God,'" she explained.

Giving an example, the America's Got Talent judge remembered when she went as an apple alongside her then-husband Seal as Eve and they forgot to consider a transport plan.

"I was thinking about being this big apple, but then we forgot, 'How am I gonna get to the party?'" she recalled. "Look, I couldn't fit in anything, so I couldn't get through any normal car doors. So last minute they had to get me a convertible to even be able to get into the car to be able to ride there."

Heidi was married to Seal between 2005 and 2014, with the pair sharing three children; Henry, 19, Johan, 17, and Lou, 15. The German star is also mother to daughter Leni, 20, from a previous relationship.

And Heidi, who is now married to musician Tom Kaulitz, also told the publication that her loved ones "have their own ideas" about their Halloween costumes, particularly Leni, who likes to "make her own things".

The 51-year-old will throw her annual Halloween bash in New York City on Thursday night.
