Donald Trump wins 2024 US presidency

Republican Donald Trump is set to become the 47th President of the United States after defeating Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.

Trump is the first person to win two non-consecutive presidential terms since Grover Cleveland in the late 1800s. He is also the first individual to assume the nation’s highest office as a convicted felon.

Trump’s first term as President began in 2016, lasting four years.
